Waalaxy or Apollo.io: which to choose in 30 seconds
Waalaxy automates your LinkedIn prospecting safely, with a free plan of 50 invitations a month. Apollo.io is a B2B database with over 270 million contacts and an integrated CRM. If your channel is LinkedIn, start with Waalaxy. If you need emails and phone numbers at scale, Apollo.
That said, the comparison isn't as clean as it looks. Lots of people ask me which one is better, and the truth is they're built for different moments of the funnel. Let me explain calmly.
What each tool does
If you already know Waalaxy is your option, you can start free here and see if it fits your team.
Waalaxy is a Chrome extension that acts on your LinkedIn account. You design a campaign with a visual editor and the tool runs it on its own: it visits profiles, sends invitations with personalized messages and sends follow-up messages once you're connected. The key is that it simulates human behavior. LinkedIn doesn't see weird bursts or robot patterns.

Apollo.io is something else. Its core is a giant database of companies and professionals with contact emails and phone numbers, plus a lightweight CRM and a cold email sequence system. You use it to search thousands of leads with filters, get their email and launch email sequences at them.
Translated into one sentence. Waalaxy fills your calendar with LinkedIn conversations. Apollo gives you the raw material and the engine to fire emails at scale.
Comparison table
| Feature | Waalaxy | Apollo.io |

| Entry price | From about 40 euros a month | From about 49 dollars per user per month |
| Ideal for | Freelancers and SDRs focused on LinkedIn | Sales teams with volume |

Where Waalaxy wins
First, safety. Waalaxy works from your browser and respects LinkedIn's limits, so you can run campaigns without risking your account. That's something I value enormously because a blocked account is a month of pipeline lost.
Second, simplicity. The drag-and-drop editor is one of the best I've tried. You set up a three-step campaign in five minutes and you don't need to touch a single line of technical configuration.
Third, the price for what it offers. The free plan lets you validate whether automated prospecting works for your business before spending a single euro. Few serious tools do that.
Where Apollo.io wins
Apollo wins on volume and data. If your job is contacting two hundred or five hundred leads a month, a database with filters by role, industry and company size saves you weeks of manual research.
It also wins on email. Its cold email sequences are powerful and the built-in CRM lets you manage the whole process without external tools. For a sales team of five or ten people, having contacts, sequences and pipeline in one place is a very strong argument.
That said, the learning curve is noticeable. Apollo has so many features that it overwhelms at first. And although its free plan exists, credits run out fast if you search for emails seriously.

When to choose Waalaxy
Choose Waalaxy if your main channel is LinkedIn, if you're a freelancer or SDR and you want to fill your calendar with conversations without spending hours copy-pasting. Also if you're afraid of getting your account blocked, because safety is exactly its best argument.
A typical case. A consultant selling services to marketing directors at SMBs. Their audience is on LinkedIn, there's no need for a database of millions, and what they need is sending personalized invitations every day without spending more than ten minutes on it.
When to choose Apollo.io
Choose Apollo if you need emails at scale, if your team already works with cold email sequences or if you want a CRM without assembling a stack of tools. Also if your market is English-speaking, where cold email responds better than in Spain.
A typical case. An agency launching a campaign to a thousand software companies in Europe. It needs a thousand verified emails in one afternoon and a way to put them into an automatic follow-up sequence. That's pure Apollo.
How much each one costs
Waalaxy has a free plan with 50 invitations a month, and paid plans start at around 40 euros a month. That's a reasonable price for what it brings if your main channel is LinkedIn.
Apollo.io also has a free plan, but with limited credits, and paid plans start near 49 dollars per user per month. Here you have to read the fine print. With Apollo you pay per user, so if you have a team of five the bill multiplies fast.
For a freelancer starting out, Waalaxy comes out clearly cheaper. For a team that needs contact data at scale, Apollo justifies its price with the database.
Can you use them together?
Yes, and in fact it's a very powerful combination. Many professionals use Apollo to find and verify emails, and Waalaxy to work the LinkedIn channel. Each one covers what the other doesn't do.
My recommendation is not to set up both from day one. Start with one, validate that the channel works and then add the other. Trying to master two new tools at once usually ends with you using neither well.
Final verdict
If I had to keep one to get started, I'd choose Waalaxy. It's cheaper to try, easier to use, and LinkedIn is where B2B prospecting responds best in our market.
Apollo.io is the better option once you have volume, a team and need data at scale. It's not a tool to start with, it's a tool to scale with.
My practical advice: try Waalaxy free with its 50 invitations a month and check whether LinkedIn prospecting gets you conversations. When you see it working and need emails in bulk, add Apollo to your stack.
