Prospeo at a glance

In one sentence: Prospeo is a B2B data search engine built around verified emails and direct mobile numbers. It works with 300 million profiles, charges one credit for every verified email it delivers and starts with a free plan of 100 credits per month. Paid plans run from 49 to 249 dollars a month, with 25 % off if you pay yearly.
These are the numbers published on its website today:

| Growth plan | $99/mo ($74/mo yearly), 5,000 credits |
| Pro plan | $249/mo ($187/mo yearly), 15,000 credits |
| Extra credits | 1,000 credits for $10 |
| Real cost per contact | 1 credit per verified email, 10 per mobile number |
| Database | 300 million profiles and 143 million verified emails |
| Claimed accuracy | 98 %, a figure from the company itself |
| Rating | 4.6 out of 5 with 135 reviews on Trustpilot |
| Headquarters | Toronto, Canada |
| Integrations | HubSpot and Salesforce from Growth up, API and MCP server |
What is Prospeo and what is it for?
Prospeo does two things and does them well. The first is finding the email of one specific person when you already know who you want to write to. The second is building a contact list from scratch with company and job title filters, without leaving the same tool.
It is a young product from Toronto that has carved out a place in a market dominated for years by ZoomInfo, Apollo and Lusha. Its pitch is not the biggest database in the world, it is that what it hands over has been verified before you see it. They put it like this: out of more than 800 million collected records, only the 300 million that pass their checking process reach your search results.
What it is for depends on how you sell. If you run cold email, it saves you the most boring part of the process, which is guessing email patterns and eating bounces. If you sell on LinkedIn, it gives you the email of the person whose profile you just opened. And if you work in RevOps, it fills the gaps in a CRM that has been losing fields for years.
What it is not, and it is worth saying early, is a sending tool. Here you search and enrich. To run sequences you need something else, and that is where Instantly comes in for email or Waalaxy if your main channel is LinkedIn.
How does Prospeo work? Search, extension and API
The search engine with company and job filters
The main screen is a search with two blocks of filters. In the people block you pick job title, seniority, department and location. In the company block, industry, headcount, revenue, funding, tech stack and headcount growth.
The free plan allows 28 filters. Starter goes up to 32, Growth to 38 and Pro unlocks all 41. The gap between the first and the last shows mostly in buying intent filters, which are three topics on the free plan and twelve on Pro.
There is one detail I like and that others charge for without warning: you can search and preview results without spending credits. The credit is consumed when you reveal or export the contact, and you are not charged if they cannot find the email.
The Chrome extension
It is the fast route for day to day work. You open someone's profile and the extension returns their verified email and, if it is in the database, the mobile number. It also works on a company website to pull contacts by domain.
In practice this is what separates Prospeo from a classic database. You do not have to go and look for the person in another tab, you resolve it where you are already looking.
CSV and CRM enrichment
If you already have a list, you can upload it and ask it to complete the missing emails. From the Growth plan you also get sync with HubSpot and Salesforce, enrichment inside the CRM and job change tracking, which tells you when a contact in your book moves company.
That last filter is more useful than it sounds. A job change is the moment when an old client becomes available again, and spotting it a week before your competitor is worth more than any discount.
API and MCP server
The Starter plan already includes a public API, with rate limits that increase by tier. On Pro the limits are considerably higher, aimed at serious enrichment volumes. They also run an MCP server to connect the tool with AI assistants, something that quite a few operations people are asking for in 2026.
If your team is small and has no developer, this will not matter to you. If you have your own CRM or a data warehouse, it is the difference between enriching by hand every week and automating it once.
How much does Prospeo cost in 2026?
Four plans and a credit logic you need to understand before comparing prices, because the number on the website says nothing on its own.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 100 |
| Starter | $49 | $37/mo | 2,000 |
| Growth | $99 | $74/mo | 5,000 |
| Pro | $249 | $187/mo | 15,000 |
The logic is simple: one credit equals one verified email and a direct mobile number costs 10 credits. Credits do not roll over from one month to the next, so whatever you do not spend is lost at renewal. If you run out before the cycle ends, you can buy an extra pack of 1,000 credits for 10 dollars or move up a plan.
Translated into real work, the Starter plan of 2,000 credits gets you 2,000 emails a month, or 200 mobile numbers, or a mix. For a single salesperson making 400 to 600 new contacts a month, that is plenty. For a team of three enriching large lists every week, Starter falls short and the jump to Growth doubles the bill.
Two things are worth praising in the model. The first is that the free plan has no expiry date, so you can test data quality in your market before paying anything. The second is that an email they cannot find does not cost you a credit, which is welcome when you work in sectors with patchy coverage.
The less good part is the mobile number. Ten credits per phone means 500 mobiles eat 5,000 credits, in other words the entire Growth plan. If cold calling is your channel, do the maths before deciding.

How accurate is Prospeo's data?
The company claims 98 % accuracy and a 30 % connect rate on calls. Those are their figures and should be read as such, but the method they describe makes sense: every field goes through five validation points and only records that pass all of them enter the database.
The refresh rate helps too. Leads with intent signals are updated every week, and the rest of the database roughly every 30 days. For a contact you are going to email this afternoon, that gap between a living database and a dump from two years ago is everything.
My experience after testing it with lists from Spain and the UK: coverage for senior roles in mid sized companies is good, and drops noticeably in very small businesses and traditional sectors. A Trustpilot review from a British user says the same thing in other words, that the hit rate on UK emails is decent without being spectacular. That matches what I see.
There are also reviews pointing the other way and they should not be hidden. One person complains that the data on their own company was wrong, with services, opening hours and headcount incorrect, and that support told them they could not edit anything because it was automatically generated. It is a useful reminder: this data is good for prospecting, not for making decisions about a specific company without checking.
Prospeo vs Apollo vs Lusha: which one to choose?
| Criterion | Prospeo | Apollo.io | Lusha |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $49/mo | $49/mo per user, yearly | $37/mo yearly |
| Free plan | 100 credits a month | Yes, limited | 40 credits a month |
| Focus | Verified emails and mobiles | Huge database plus sequences | Contact data on the fly |
| Mobile numbers | 125 million verified | Included depending on plan | Its strong point |
| API | From the Starter plan | On higher plans | Depends on plan |
| Trustpilot rating | 4.6 with 135 reviews | 3.1 with over 1,000 reviews | No comparable figure |
If your problem is volume and you also want a tool that sends emails, Apollo is still the cheapest way in, and we made that clear in our guide. Its worst enemy is data quality and the number of emails that bounce if you do not verify first.
If your problem is the mobile number for calling, Lusha has fewer features but solves that well, and its free plan of 40 credits a month is enough to test it.
Prospeo sits in the middle with a fairly specific proposition: fewer features than Apollo, better data than Apollo, and cheaper than enterprise databases like ZoomInfo or Cognism. For a team that already has its sending tool and only needs emails that do not bounce, it is the option that makes most sense of the three.
And if you come from a more classic email finding tool, the natural comparison is with Hunter and with Snov.io, which starts at 39 dollars a month and covers search plus basic sequences. Prospeo does not try to cover sending, and that lets it sharpen the data side.
What do Prospeo reviews say?
On Trustpilot it has 4.6 out of 5 with 135 reviews, with the TrustScore at 4.5. Most recent reviews come from people who use the extension daily, and the praise repeats: clean interface, quick search, emails that land.
What people value most is verification. A sales lead at Snyk says they stopped using other finders because here the emails came checked and their bounce rate dropped by more than 70 %. Another 2026 review highlights something more mundane, that the basic plan gives 200 phone searches a month and does not charge when the number does not exist. Small details that add up when you have been paying for dead data for years.
The criticism falls into three groups. The first is price against Apollo, with one user saying literally that it is a bit more expensive but the data is better and there are more options. The second is quality in specific cases, with the complaint about incorrect company data I mentioned earlier. And the third is more serious, a September 2026 review denouncing marketing emails sent to a private address and calling it a GDPR compliance problem.
That last one deserves a separate comment, because it affects anyone using B2B databases. If you are going to write cold emails into Europe, responsibility for what you do with that data is yours, not the provider's. Prospeo claims GDPR compliance and its terms will say so in writing, but that does not exempt you from having a legal basis, a privacy policy and a working opt out. We go into more detail in our guide to cold email.
The drawbacks I see in Prospeo
The first is that credits do not roll over. If you have a quiet month, that margin is gone. Tools with yearly credits delivered upfront avoid this, and here it only happens if you pay yearly.
The price jump also weighs: moving from Starter to Growth costs double for 2.5 times more credits. It is not disproportionate, but it leaves an awkward gap for teams of two or three sitting between 2,000 and 5,000 contacts a month.
And the mobile number, at 10 credits, shapes your plan choice. It is consistent with the cost of verifying a phone, but if your strategy is calling, the maths changes completely.
It does not send anything either. No sequences, no unified inbox, no domain warm up. If you come from Apollo expecting that, it is not here and you will have to build it separately. My usual combination is Prospeo for the data and Instantly for sending, which also includes a 14 day free trial and warm up.
Coverage, finally, depends on the country. It works well in English speaking markets and in Spain for mid and senior roles in mid sized companies. In very local niches, it drops.
Is Prospeo worth it in 2026?
Yes, if what you need is verified data and not another sales suite. Prospeo does one specific thing and does it with more care than average: it tells you whether the email exists before you send, and it does not charge you when it cannot find it.
The entry price is competitive for what it delivers, the free plan lets you test coverage in your real market without a card and the extension handles the daily work of any salesperson. For someone who already has their sending tool in place and is tired of bounces, it is one of the most profitable purchases in the stack.
What I would not do is sign up for Growth in the first month. Start with the free plan, spend the 100 credits on your hardest segment and see how many verified emails come back. If the coverage works for you, Starter covers most individual salespeople, and only when the team grows or you start enriching large lists does an upgrade make sense.
And if your main channel is not email, look elsewhere. For LinkedIn prospecting with automation, Waalaxy starts at 19 euros a month with a 14 day trial, includes an email finder on the Business plan and saves you exporting lists to another tool. For pure cold email, Instantly from around 47 dollars a month with its 14 day trial. Prospeo fits between the two, as a source of contacts, not as a replacement.
