Instantly or Waalaxy: which to choose in 30 seconds

Visual comparison of Instantly and Waalaxy

The Instantly vs Waalaxy question is one of the most common in B2B prospecting, and the short answer is that they don't compete for the same channel. Instantly is a cold email platform with domain warmup included and a database of over 450 million contacts, from $47 per month. Waalaxy automates LinkedIn prospecting with safe limits for your account, from €19 per month. If your channel is LinkedIn, Waalaxy. If it's cold email at scale, Instantly.

Why people ask me this

I get asked this comparison almost every week, and I get why. Anyone taking B2B prospecting seriously in 2026 reaches the same point. They need to fill the pipeline with conversations, and the two classic paths are the LinkedIn message and cold email. Instantly represents the second with a lot of force, Waalaxy the first. The temptation to look for a single winner is strong, but the short answer is that they look less alike than it seems and complement each other more than they overlap.

I've spent years building cold email campaigns with Instantly and I've tried Waalaxy on projects where the client lived on LinkedIn. What follows is what I would have liked to read before spending my first euro on either of them.

What each tool does

Waalaxy

Waalaxy is a Chrome extension that works on top of your LinkedIn account. You build a campaign with a visual editor, choose the actions (visit profile, send invitation with a note, message people who accept) and the tool runs them on its own, respecting the limits LinkedIn considers normal. That's its big card. It mimics human behavior, so you can prospect consistently without risking your account.

In 2026 it's no longer just LinkedIn. The Business plan includes cold email sequences and multichannel campaigns, a detail I talk about below because it changes the conversation.

Instantly

Instantly is a complete cold email platform. You connect your email accounts, warm up the domains, upload a contact list and launch email sequences with automatic follow-ups. Its deliverability infrastructure is among the best on the market. Server and IP rotation, email verification and tools to keep your emails out of spam.

It also has its own database, with over 450 million B2B contacts and filters for job title, industry and company size, plus AI assistants to write and reply. The company was founded in 2021 and today boasts about using its own platform to grow.

Where Waalaxy wins

In safety and simplicity. Waalaxy knows LinkedIn's limits and doesn't cross them, which is exactly what you want if you don't want to wake up with a blocked account. I've seen too many cases of people losing months of built network by using aggressive tools. With Waalaxy that fear disappears.

It also wins on entry price and learning curve. For €19 per month you get 300 invitations, which for a freelancer starting out is more than enough to validate whether the channel works. The campaign editor is drag and drop, and there are ready-to-use templates. You're prospecting within an afternoon.

There's a nuance that counts a lot in the Spanish-speaking market. People respond better on LinkedIn than by email. A Trustpilot review from February 2026 sums it up in one sentence. 47 invitations sent and a 15% acceptance rate. In cold email, a reply rate of 1 to 5% is already considered good.

Where Instantly wins

In volume and deliverability. If your plan is to reach a thousand or ten thousand companies per month, Instantly gives you the infrastructure to do it without your emails ending up in spam. The SISR system (server and IP rotation) and unlimited domain warmup are its star argument, and in my experience they work.

Its second advantage is data. The built-in database with over 450 million contacts and 13 filters saves you weeks of manual searching, something Waalaxy can't offer. On its Business plan, Waalaxy's email finder only gives you 500 credits per month, which run out in a heartbeat if you work with volume.

Then there's the AI. Instantly includes assistants for writing emails, enriching profiles and even a sales agent that replies automatically. It's not magic, but it removes a lot of mechanical work from the process.

The 2026 twist: Waalaxy already does cold email

This is what has changed the most in recent months. Waalaxy's Business plan, at €69 per user per month, includes cold email sequences and multichannel campaigns that combine LinkedIn and email in a single sequence. Before, the decision was binary. LinkedIn or email. Now Waalaxy wants to be both.

That doesn't turn Waalaxy Business into a substitute for Instantly. For small or medium volume, with 500 email finder credits and simple sequences, it can work. For serious campaigns at scale, with thousands of emails per month and fine deliverability needs, Instantly is still in another league. Waalaxy does cold email competently, but its home is still LinkedIn.

What the real reviews say

Time to be honest, because the reviews tell an interesting story. Waalaxy has a 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot with 1,289 reviews and 82% five stars. It replies to 91% of negative reviews, which says a lot about how they treat customers. The usual complaints revolve around invitation limits and the fact that the free plan disappeared. Until recently you had 50 invitations per month for free and now only the 14-day trial exists. A change that sat badly with more than one person.

Instantly is more polarizing. On Trustpilot it has 1,157 reviews with 68% five stars, but 24% one star. In fact its score is suspended for breaching guidelines, after the platform removed fake reviews. Users who have been with it for years defend it passionately and call it the best cold email software they've tried. Recent criticism focuses on two things. Chat-only support, which several reviews say is slow, and billing problems with subscriptions that renew on their own. I read the company's replies to those complaints and they're usually reasonable, but the pattern repeats too often.

If reviews matter to you, the takeaway is that Waalaxy generates less love and less hate, and that's information too.

How much each one costs

Waalaxy has three plans. Pro costs €19 per user per month and includes 300 invitations. Advanced costs €49, goes up to 800 invitations and adds API, Make, Zapier and n8n modules, and priority support. Business costs €69 and brings in cold email, multichannel campaigns and the 500 email finder credits. Paying quarterly gets you 20% off and annually 50% off.

Instantly starts at $47 per month with the Growth plan. 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 monthly emails, with unlimited sending accounts and warmup. Hypergrowth costs $97 and goes up to 25,000 contacts and 125,000 emails. Lightspeed, at $358, reaches 500,000 emails. There are also fixed bundles from $94 that add database credits and AI agents.

Watch out for one detail. Instantly bills in dollars and its prices are designed for the English-speaking market. If your market is Spain or Latin America, cold email responds worse and the cost per conversation goes up. That's not Instantly's fault, but it's worth keeping in mind before paying.

When to choose Instantly

Choose Instantly if your market responds to email, if you need to reach thousands of companies per month, or if you already work with cold email sequences and want serious deliverability infrastructure. Also if you need an integrated contact database and don't want to assemble a stack of tools.

A typical case. An agency launching campaigns for B2B software clients in the US and UK. It needs to verify thousands of emails, warm up domains per client and scale volume. That's pure Instantly. If you go for it, here's my guide to building your first campaign step by step and the detailed analysis of its reviews and prices.

When to choose Waalaxy

Choose Waalaxy if your audience lives on LinkedIn, if you're a freelancer or SDR and want to fill your calendar with conversations without spending hours copy-pasting, or if the thought of getting your account blocked terrifies you. Also if you sell to SMBs in the Spanish-speaking market, where a direct LinkedIn message usually opens more doors than cold email.

A typical case. A consultant selling training to marketing directors. Their ideal client is on LinkedIn, they don't need databases of millions and what they want is to send personalized invitations every day in ten minutes. For that profile, Instantly would be overkill and expensive.

You can try Waalaxy free for 14 days and see for yourself whether the channel responds. If you need prior context, my guide on what Waalaxy is and how it works brings you up to date, and in the comparison with Apollo I explain why LinkedIn usually beats cold email in our market.

Can you use them together?

Yes, and in fact it's the combination I like most for small teams. Waalaxy for the LinkedIn channel and Instantly for email, each in its lane, with a CRM in between to tie it all together. Waalaxy's Business plan tries to cover both fronts, but if email is going to be a serious leg of your strategy, having Instantly's infrastructure behind it shows in delivery rates.

That said, don't set up both at the same time in the first month. Start with one channel, validate that it gives you conversations and then add the second. Mastering two new tools at once almost always ends with you not using either well.

Final verdict

If I have to pick one for someone starting out in Spain or Latin America, my answer is Waalaxy. It's cheaper, easier, and the LinkedIn channel responds better in our market. Cold email exists and works, but asking a freelancer to start paying $47, setting up domains and warming accounts is far more demanding than sending invitations from an extension.

Instantly is the choice when you already have volume, an English-speaking market or real deliverability needs. It's a tool for scaling, not for starting.

My practical advice. Try Waalaxy free, launch your first LinkedIn campaigns and measure how many conversations you get. When that channel is rolling and you want to attack email seriously, Instantly will be waiting.
